Reference Number : ENG46180510 Description : Based within our Maintenance Department and reporting to the Head of Mechanical. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out day to day mechanical engineering duties to support the maintenance team on breakdown and planned maintenance applications and new plant installations. This is a position of considerable responsibility and the ability to work on your own initiative will be essential. The role will involve; • Providing technical assistance to maintenance personnel on hydraulic/pneumatic systems and fault diagnosis • Interfacing/liasing with outside vendors on fault diagnosis and ensuring effective communication to relevant personnel • Project planning and providing technical assistance for all major plant installations of new equipment • Review and revision of current planned and preventative maintenance schedules and requirements for key plant facilities • Providing revision to mechanical systems to update existing equipment to enable reliability and maintainability Qualifications: Essential criteria: • A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment • Educated to HNC/HND level in Mechanical Engineering • Strong technical skills • Logical and well organised approach to problem solving • Good communication skills – written and verbal as demonstrated on application form Desirable criteria: • A minimum of 5 years previous experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment • Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering Telephone 028 302 64435 for an application form OR download on line.
