Description : Based within our Maintenance Department and reporting to the Head of Electrical. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out day to day electrical engineering duties to support the maintenance team on breakdown and planned maintenance applications and new plant installations. This is a position of considerable responsibility and the ability to work on your own initiative will be essential.

The role will involve;

• Providing technical assistance to maintenance personnel on electrical control systems and fault diagnosis
• Interfacing/liaising with outside vendors on fault diagnosis and ensuring effective communication to relevant personnel
• Project planning and providing technical assistance for all major plant installations of new equipment
• Review and revision of current planned and preventative maintenance schedules and requirements for key plant facilities
• Providing revision to electrical control systems to update existing equipment and enable reliability and maintainability
• Energy Management – Focus on monitoring the trend of electricity consumption, identify site minimum loads and identify and implement actions to reduce overall electricity consumption.
Qualifications:
Essential criteria:

• A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Educated to HNC/HND level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Strong technical skills
• Logical and well organised approach to problem solving
• Good communication skills – written and verbal as demonstrated on application form


Desirable criteria:

• A minimum of 5 years previous experience in a Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing environment
• Educated to degree level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
